Notification  for  inviting  online  applications  for  Graduate/Technician

Apprentices   at Western Coalfields  Limited under  the Apprentices  Act  1961

Online Applications  are  invited for  engagement of  Graduate/Technician Apprentice  for  a period of one year under the provisions of the Apprentices Act 1961(amended).

Candidates willing to apply for Graduate/Technician Apprentice in WCL will be required to submit online Web-Application Form within the prescribed time period in the official website of WCL. (www.westerncoal.in) mentioning their  enrolment details  of  National Apprentice Training  Scheme (NATS) web portal. No other Mode of Application shall be accepted.

QUALIFICATION:

Applicants  are NOT ELIGIBLE in anyone  of the case below:

a.Who have passed qualifying examination before 28/02/2020. (Or)

b.Who  have undertaken any previous training as  a part of the apprenticeship programme

(except as Sandwich student). (Or)

c.Who have undergoing presently Apprenticeship Training at any establishment (Or)

d.Who have in the employment elsewhere (Or)

e.Who is undergoing any Regular Course of study as regular candidate from any Educational

Institute. (Or)

f.Who  have been  provided with  One Year's  Practical Training  after completing qualifying

examination i.e. (DegreelDiploma) in any mine.

g. Who have not completed age of 18 years on 22/11/2022.

h.Who have not found fit in Initial Medical Examination. 

STIPEND:

Monthly  Stipend  to the apprentices   from the date of engagement   shall be paid as below:

PERIOD  OF APPRENTICESHIP    TRAINING:

Period   of   Apprenticeship     Training    shall   be   12   months   from   commencing    of   the   Contract    of
Apprenticeship.

Note:  It shall   not  be obligatory     on  the  part  of  WCL  to  offer   employment    to  an  apprentice     who has  completed     his/her   apprenticeship,      nor  shall   it  be  obligatory     on  the  part  of  apprentice     to accept   employment    from   the  WCL.


RESERVATION:

a) Reservation   will  be  provided  as  per the  provisions   of the Apprentice   Act,  1961 (amended)   and
Apprenticeship    Rules  1992 (amended).

b) Applicants   belonging  to SC/ST/OBC(NCL)    shall  produce  their  caste  certificate   in the prescribed format   issued   by  the  Competent   Authority.    Certificates   should   have  validity   on  the   date  of
verification  ..

c) When  the  prescribed   number  of  persons   belonging   either  to  the  Scheduled   Castes   or  to  the Scheduled   Tribes  are not available  on the seniority  list of the establishment,   the training   places so reserved  for them  shall be filled  by persons  belonging  to the Scheduled  Tribes  or as the case may  be, to the Scheduled   Caste  and if the prescribed  training  places cannot  be filled  even  in the above   given   manner"   then  the  training   places   so  lying   unfilled   shall   be  filled   by   persons available   on the  establishment's    down  the  merit  list  not belonging  to the  Scheduled   Castes   or the Scheduled  Tribes.

d) If the  prescribed   training  places  cannot  be filled  from  OBC  candidates,   then  the training   places so lying  unfilled  shall  be filled  up by Candidates   not belonging  to the OBC category,  from  down
the merit list.

.APPLICATION    PROCESS:

1. Eligible  candidates   are  required   to  register  themselves   on  the  National  Apprenticeship Training  Scheme   (NATS)  web  portal  (www.mhrdnats.gov.in).     Further,  they  have  to  apply in web  application   form  available   at official  portal  of WCL  (www.westerncoal.in      )  on or before   last  date  of  submission.   No  other   mode  of  application   would   be  accepted.    No application   shall  be accepted  after due date.

2. Candidate   has  a choice  to  select  an  area  of WCL  for  training   but  does  not  have   any
Right. Allotment   of area shall  be done  by the WCL  management   as per availability.

3. The  eligible   candidates   are  required   to  mention   percentage   of  Marks  obtained    in the qualifying   examination    in  Degree  1 Diploma.   In case  semester   results  are  declared    in Grade  Point Average,  then  CGPA  shall  be converted   into percentage  as per norms   of the Institute   IUniversity.    Documents    in  this   regards   should   have  to  be  provided    by  the candidate.   Candidate   has to enter  percentage   in the  application   form,  in Numeric    Form only without  any special  characters.

SELECTION PROCEDURE:

a) The order of priority of invitation for verification of original certificates of all candidates will be as follows:

i) First Priority: NATS Enrolment Number of the candidates of Maharashtra and Madhya
Pradesh State starts with WMH or WMP, they will be invited in the first priority order for
the selection process.

ii) Second Priority: Gujarat, Chhattisgarh, Goa, Daman Diu, which are from the other states of BOAT Mumbai (Western Zone), they will be invited in second priority order for the selection process if required.

iii)  Third priority: Candidates from other states will be invited for the selection process in third priority order if required.

b) The selection shall be made based on the percentage of marks obtained in the qualifying examination. Date of birth and there after date of passing will be taken as seniority in case of equal percentage of marks of the candidates. CGPA shall be converted into percentage as per the norms of the concerned Educational Board.

c) The eligible candidate shall be called for document verification at establishment office. The date, time and venue for document verification shall be intimated to the eligible candidates accordingly. The candidates would be required to furnish original documents and subm it self­ attested copies and soft copies thereof.

d) Final selection of the candidates in each seat shall be made after verification of documents and found fit in medical examination.  Shortlisted candidates merely attending the document verification process or medical examination does not entitle selection of his candidature  as Apprentice with establishment.

e) After documents verification and obtaining medical fitness certificate the candidates shall be selected for training, based on merit and apprentice engagement letter shall be issued.

Registration   of  Contract:   The  Selected  apprentice  will  have  to  sign  and  accept  contract   of apprenticeship training as per rules of the Board of Apprenticeship Training.

Termination  of Contract:  After completion of such apprenticeship Training for stipulated period of 12 months, the Apprenticeship Contract shall automatically cease. Any act of indiscipline on the part of the apprentices during the apprenticeship is subject to cancellation Contract thereby discontinuing of training.                                                                                                                                 .

GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS:

a) Before applying in WCl  website, the candidate should ensure that he/she fulfils the eligibility criteria and other norms mentioned in the advertisement and has enrolled in apprenticeship portal.

b) All notifications to candidates shall be done through establishment official website or his/her registered  e-mail  address.  Responsibility of  receiving, downloading  and  printing  of  any
notification shall be of the candidates. The.establishment shall not be responsible for any loss of e-mail sent due to invalid /wrong E-Mail ID provided by the candidates or delivery  of E­ Mails to SPAM / BULK mail folder etc.

c) Any request for change of mailing address / caste category / discipline qualification or any entry once declared during registration on the apprenticeship / WCl  web portal will  not be entertained.

d) Verification of credentials shall be done prior to final selection and in case any deviation  or
non-conformity with the desired eligibility criteria, the candidature of the candidate shall  be summarily rejected.

e) Failure by the candidate to attend the document verification process on the prescribed date & time at the venue would be treated as his unwillingness to accept the selection proced ure for the Trade Apprentice at establishment and such candidates will not be considered in further selection procedure.  No application for  altering the  date, time  and venue for  document verification will be considered.

f) Candidates belonging to reserve categories shall produce valid certificates for SC/ST/OBC (NCl),  in the prescribed format issued by the Competent Authority applicable for jobs,  valid on the date of Verification. 

g) Candidates shall have to produce their valid Aadhar Card as Identity Proof, Mark-sheet of qualifying Examination, Proof of date of birth, NATS enrolment proof, Caste Certificate and Non-Creamy Layer Certificate valid till date of verification, duly signed with photograph on-line
web application form in original during the verification of documents.

h) Date of Birth will be taken as mentioned in the Mark-sheet or Certificate of class x" or xu"
(HSSC/SSC  Board) or equivalent examination.  No other proof for date of  birth shall  be
accepted.

i) Every candidate should have a valid e-mail 10 & mobile no. and the same has to be provided in the apprenticeship portal. The same e-mail 10 & mobile no. must remain active until the end
of the training programme in respect of the selected candidates. Request for  Change  of particulars once declared during enrolment, will not be entertained.

j) No TA 1 DA will be paid to applicants called for document verification process and for any stage of engagement process as Apprentice.

k) Suppression of facts will lead to disqualification, if found at any stage of the selection process or during the Apprenticeship period. Candidature of candidates is liable to be rejected at any stage of the selection process or even after execution of the Contract of Apprenticeship, if any information provided by the candidate during the registration on the National Apprenticeship Training Scheme (NATS) web portal and in WCL online platform is found to be false or is found not in conformity with the eligibility criteria so mentioned in the advertisement and Apprentices Act.

I) Screening and selection of candidates will be based on the details provided by the candidate,
subject to verification, hence it is necessary that the applicants furnish accurate, full  and correct  information  during  registration  on  the  National Apprenticeship  Training  Scheme (NATS) web portal and WCL online web portal.

m) Any canvassing or personal follow up with an intention of inducing the process of selection of apprentice  by  and  on  behalf of  any  candidate  shall  lead  to  immediate cancellation  of candidature,

n) WCL reserves the right to change the number of seats and 1 or cancell restrict! modify the engagement process of apprentices, if required without issuing any further notice or assigning any reason.

0) WCL  does  not give  any  commitment  1  assurance on  providing  permanent 1  tem porary employment to Apprentices on successful completion of Apprenticeship period.

p) Selected Candidates shall be engaged as an apprentice at different units of WCL belongs to the concerned establishment.

q) No accommodation, food etc will be provided.

r) An  apprentice  shall  be  entitled  to  such  leave  and  holidays  as  are  observed  in  the establishment in which he/she is undergoing training.
